Whisky Maniac The name Dallas is derived from the Gaelic words for "valley and water". Dhu means black, or perhaps in this instance, "dark". It is not known whether this refers to the colour of the water or the valley. It could have been derived from an earlier brand name for a blended whisky made with the Dallas malt. Either way, "Black Water Valley" makes a great single malt. Click here to buy Dallas Dhu whisky.
